Overview: Join the fastest growing company in Canada building the digital nervous system of VersaPay's financial technology.
We are looking for a number of experienced Ruby on Rails developers with proven track records of success developing web-based applications to join our energetic team of programmers. A desire to write well organized, testable and well documented code coupled with a desire to contribute to open source projects is critical.
Location: Workers in the Vancouver, BC area would be preferable.
Work Methodology: You will be led by a VersaPay team lead who is responsible for overall architecture and design of the system. Our project manager will assist you in selecting user stories that you wish to implement. We operate on a 2 week release cycle with programmers grabbing a user story, implementing appropriate story in cucmber and them coding around their tests. We have dedicated user experience, design and QA staff to help ensure we're the best ruby shop to work for ever!
Strong independent work skills are required as well as a willingness to plan out one's upcoming week in Basecamp.
Term: We would be seeking a minimum of 6 months at 40 hours per week of development.
